Net pay
Income tax by bracket
Each part of your salary is taxed at its own rate. Only the part above a line pays the higher rate.
How it's calculated
- Income tax by the 2026 monthly brackets, minus credit points (₪242 a month each).
- Pension tax credit: 35% of your pension deposit, up to 7% of a salary of ₪9,700 (at most ₪237.65 a month). This is the common approximation.
- National Insurance and health tax: 4.27% up to ₪7,703, then 12.17% up to the ₪51,910 ceiling.
- Keren hishtalmut (employee 2.5%) comes out of net pay with no tax effect.
- Assumes an Israeli resident with one job and a regular monthly salary. Not included: benefits in kind (car, phone), overtime rules, employer deposits above the tax-free limits.
